Train Songz Zine Operation
(ongoing)

Train Songz is a passion project that stems from my love of bluegrass music and the jam band community. The zine is distributed quarterly to over 2,000 subscribers, and over 18,000 email subscribers. I am the Art Director of this ongoing project, where I design the layout for the publication and find artists within the community and commission them to create for the zine!

This project is forever evolving and always demanding, and this is the community in which I thrive. We are constantly throwing around ideas, coming up with email marketing, contacting artists, securing donations, its a full operation! This zine truly comes from my love of music and the community that follows. Jamming in a ton of passionate writing and artwork is no small feat for layout, as there is never any blank space. I am surrounded by so many loving and talented folks with this project, and it is truly a dream how much momentum it has and the love it recieves!

Open House Catalog, 2024

Open House is the title of the 2024 senior graphic design exhibtion at Virginia Commonwealth University. I was elected by my peers to create a physical catalog of the show to be distributed to those showing work. This catalog is half letter size and spiral bound.  The front cover is a holographic foil stamp. It is complete with a pocket on the first page with the exhibtion logo. The pocket stores the inventory card which details how the exhibtion is designed, and functions as a table of contents. The next page is a glossy map of the exhibition space that folds out to full letter size.

As per the title, the exhibtion was designed in the form of a house, as if the senior class were packing their things and moving out upon gradutation. The inventory card worked as a way to keep track of where items were in the chaos of moving, along with a blueprint for a guide, and bright colors to remain in sight.

Raw Material  2024

“Raw Material” is an archival diary that serves as a  testament to the importance of note taking and the preservation of process work. The book is a collection of notes, sketches, and other materials that inspire my design practice. In essence, it's an exploration into archiving and preserving concepts. Over the last few years, I've gathered bits and pieces of my life, insights gained, and thoughts pondered. These fragments, though seemingly scattered, form the essence of my growth and exploration during this transformative period. Here, I delve into the importance of exploratory work and evolving concepts, capturing the art of process work and unfinished thoughts. In a digital age, the archival diary stands as a beacon of permanence, and a sanctuary for unfinished thoughts to evolve and grow.

Visual Identity
(ongoing)

Visual Identity is the heart of a brand or product design. I focus on readability, accessibility, and aesthetics. In order to cultivate visual identity, I create a visual balanced blend of trend and timelessness.

Printed Matter (ongoing)

Printed matter and ephemera is why I do what I do. I am a sucker for aesthetic, phsyical, and funtional materials. My printed work trancends the idea of a print  being two dimensional by creating a unique sensory experience. Printed work involves all of the tools of the trade, from utilizing digital and analog tools to overseeing production and assesmbly. My printed work is interactive and tactile.
