My design process begins with a stream of consciousness writing exercise to uncover core ideas and concepts. From there, I seek inspiration, often from nature through photography or sometimes social media. Next, I spend time drawing to develop what I call “key components,” essential elements that keep the concept alive.

Once I have identified these components, I move into digital work, usually starting in Illustrator and refining the project in InDesign. In InDesign, I explore multiple iterations, experimenting with composition, color, texture, and emphasis until I find the strongest formal choices. I present these iterations to clients before revisions, which typically involve fine-tuning details.
